Hi, friends! I’ve got a fun new dinner recipe to share with you today. I am a huge fan these ultra crispy, restaurant-style wontons. They’re such a delicious treat for dinner, and so easy to whip up. This is one of our favorite recipes for hot, lightly fried wontons stuffed with a cheesy southwestern ranch filling. Hope you enjoy these!

I tried these this weekend, but I couldn’t find wonton wrappers at any of our local grocery stores, so I tried making my own… didn’t go so well. They need to be really thin! But, the filling was so yummy my family was digging in with tortilla chips and asking me to make it again, as a side dish! The filling would also be great wrapped in a tortilla.

Those look so so good. Gotta try those out with my homemade guacamole…which I happened to post to my blog this morning. Must be Cinco de Mayo approaching that’s got us thinking about Mexican food…

Owh yum! I’m hungry now.
Love your “freezing chopped vegetables” trick. With the zucchini do you need to blanch it first? And does it go soggy? We get a big box of fruit and veggies delivered every fortnight and I’m having trouble keeping up with using all of them.

Thanks for posting this! I always forget about using this little wrappers to use up chicken, taco meat, etc. as you suggest. I’m putting them on my grocery list now!
They are great for little desserts with fruit or chocolate too.Elaine Allen

These look so yummy! I can almost taste them. Too bad I’m in the office otherwise I think I’d be making some of these right now!

The photos {and perfectly executed product} remind me of Giada! :) Looks lovely and great idea to make these ahead of time and freeze. I may try to come up with a chicken/thyme/goat cheese version. Yum.
