WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR MAR. 4

In this ancient code, we’re pulled apart, I am the wizard of your heart. Clear sail and the slides are blue on a different tower to be with you. We’re ecstasy on respirators, breathing cosmic incubators, innocent, translucent white, we are the children of the night and I’m here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with a recap of the Bloodline segment from SmackDown where the Rock pitched a tag team match between him and Roman Reigns on one hand and Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on the other.

“American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes makes his entrance and gets in the ring and on the mic.

He asks what we want to talk about and talks about his expectations for his WrestleMania match against Roman Reigns... but he can’t get deep into it because he’s got a distraction that... stings... quite a bit, and of course he’s talking about the Rock. He recaps Rock’s whole promo and points out he did not accept the challenge for a singles match.

No, ever so eloquently he spun that and changed the conversation like the master politician he is. Hell, he might vote for him, and he can’t dismiss his words entirely. They had a conversation where he poured honey into his ear and said the people don’t want Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns and this is for the people!

The people want Rock vs. Roman, he said, and then the people started chanting something else, and a “We want Cody!” chant goes up on cue. He heard that, WWE officials heard that, and the Rock heard it and decided to call all of us crybabies. But now the Rock has issued an entirely different challenge.

One that includes his friend, yeah he thinks they’re friends now, and it’s time for him to come on down, the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins!

Enter Seth Rollins, dressed like an electric banana.

He welcomes us to Monday Night Rollins and Cody talks about their alliance and that he didn’t think he was gonna be on Mania until that stupid powerpoint saying the Anoa’i family was better than any of them and he had to go back on their word, and now Seth has to face the only other guy besides Roman who has pinned him since coming back, Drew McIntyre.

So, what he wanted to say here and in person for everyone to see, Rock and Roman Reigns, two Mount Rushmore wrestlers together, but he fully understands if he wants to focus on Drew and he’s not on-board with having his back. Seth thinks about it for a beat and says he respects Cody giving him the out but he’ll take care of Drew.

Rollins says he told the world last week that some things are bigger than them, and taking down the Bloodline is the biggest thing they can do. It’s not just Cody’s story that ends at WrestleMania, it’s Seth’s too. Ten years ago he came in with Roman Reigns and they wanted to take the power from the top, and Rollins wanted to give it back to the people, but Reigns wants to keep it for himself.

Here’s the problem— they’re this close. With the Rock in the Bloodline, we’re this close to Roman Reigns having absolute power. And he doesn’t know how Cody feels, but he’s kind of over the Rock. He hasn’t been the People’s Champ for a long time, and he thinks he’s come up with a new name for the Rock, he’s going to call him Diarrhea Dwayne.

Because he’s been running his mouth and everything that comes out has the consistency of wet baby poop. Rock says he can snap his fingers and make Seth go away, well he’s welcome to try. Rollins also takes issue with Dwayne saying he made wrestling cool again, because he ain’t been cool in twenty years.

But what is cool is this morning he received 100% medical clearance and he’s back and ready to go! So this Friday, he’ll be at SmackDown to confront the Bloodline, and he wants to know if Cody has his back here. Rhodes thinks about it for a long beat and says he also has a message for the Rock.

He thinks it’s been a long time since the Rock had those seven bucks in his pocket and he thinks he’s forgotten, and he’s going to SmackDown with Seth Rollins and he’ll stand across from the whole Bloodline and he’ll give him face-to-face eye-to-eye his very clear and obvious answer for what’s happening at WrestleMania.

Drew McIntyre is interviewed backstage.

He says Seth Rollins is a spotlight junkie, hopping from comeback to comeback, from CM Punk to Cody Rhodes to the Rock, and at this point he doesn’t care and he’s going to put him down at WrestleMania. Backstage, GUNTHER is interviewed.

He says Dominik Mysterio spoke a big game last week and he has to give it to him, he stepped up tonight, but of course the match went how it went. He talks about how he’s elevated the Intercontinental Championship and he’s flattered to see the creme de la creme of Raw competing for a spot to be humiliated and outclassed by der Ring General.

Chad Gable rolls up.

He’s sick of the condescending smile on GUNTHER’s face and for everyone else this gauntlet match is just a path to WrestleMania, but for him it’s a path to redemption and putting a smile back on his daughter’s face.

Jey Uso cuts a promo about how Drew McIntyre has cried and complained for an apology. Well he’s sorry... for what he’s gonna do to him tonight, and if there’s anything he’s gonna find out tonight, it’s that Jey don’t play. Yeet.
